
Vejer de la Frontera, Spain โ October 24, 2025 โ The much anticipated Nations Cup CSIO 3*, sponsored by Kar Sports Horses, took place on Friday during the second week of the Andalucรญa October Tour. Seventeen teams participated and the event was highly contested. In the end, Ireland, who led the first round with just 2 time penalties, went on to win on 6 penalties with no need for their final rider to jump. The team was made up ofย Susan Fitzpatrick with Lovely Stassi PS, Niamh McEvoy (IRL) with Olympic ‘gl’ ‘fvd’, Max Wachman (IRL) with Tipperary and Ethen Ahearne (IRL) with LVS Goldrush H.
Brasil took second place moving up from 5th in the first round with three clears counting in the second round; in the end they finished on just eight penalty-points overall. The team was made up of Eduardo Pereira de Menezes (BRA) with H5 Londontime, Pedro Junqueira Muylaert (BRA) with Gemme Villers, Felipe Amaral (BRA) with Qerbi Vant Ruytershof and Pedro Veniss (BRA) with Duelante 3K.
Third place went to Germany who dropped down from provisional second after a good first round with 5ย penalty-points, finishing with 13, one of three teams to do so, but with the fastest overall times. The team members were Jana Wargers (GER) with Eddie G Z, Jens Baackmann (GER) with Lorenz 86, Stephanie Bรถhe (GER) with DSP Lyjin P and Maximilian Lill (GER) with Casallco’s George PS.ย
The prize giving included a ceremony for the winners of the Marta Santos Casamichana Award, from KAR Sport Horses, the sponsors of this Nations Cup round; this is a tribute to Marta Santos, who sadly passed away in an accident this year. The winners of the award were Francisca Gomes and Luis Secio.
