El Jadida: The Blue Stage of the Morocco Royal Tour

El Jadida, Morocco – October 01, 2025 – The third and final leg of the Morocco Royal Tour in El Jadida marks, for Europe’s 4* riders, a smooth transition from the summer season to the indoor circuit, under conditions worthy of the finest arenas on the World Cup tour. An ideal way to prepare for the winter, embraced by Morocco’s mild climate. This year, the FRMSE and the MRT have chosen to highlight Moroccan youth. The CSI1* has opened its doors to some fifteen young riders who will, for the very first time, discover the atmosphere of an international competition.

A shift in space and light: this time, the forty-six 4* riders will return to – or discover – the magnificent indoor arena of the El Jadida Horse Show, dressed in its signature blue that makes it instantly recognizable in any photograph. In this unique setting, emotions always run high, particularly during the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, traditionally held in front of packed and enthusiastic stands. This Sunday, the Grand Prix, which will decide the successor of Switzerland’s Adrian Schmid (SUI), will take on even greater prestige, as it will be held in the presence of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. The Crown Prince had already inaugurated the 16th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show on Monday. A colorful and diverse event, the Show celebrates all facets of Morocco’s equestrian world, across more than a hundred stands, while also staging the traditional and spectacular Tbourida – a true competition that international riders would not miss for anything.

When the CSI 1* Becomes an Incubator of Talent

The CSI1* will also return to the international stage, with 62 riders entered. For the first time, a group of fifteen young Moroccan riders will make their debut at this level of competition. The El Jadida arena, more compact (70m by 40m) than the expansive outdoor fields of Tétouan and Rabat, and set indoors, immediately raises the level of difficulty. The tracks are more technical, with tighter options and turns, and the energy of the loyal, passionate spectators adds an extra intensity to every round.

This new challenge will allow the progress of these young riders to be closely followed, while also giving the more experienced combinations an opportunity to shine in a different context. What an adventure for these young riders, to find themselves competing against the likes of Joe Whitaker (GBR), Luiz Felipe Neto de Azevedo (BRA), or their own Moroccan seniors. A promising blend that guarantees a captivating show for the public, and a tangible way to support and reveal Morocco’s champions of tomorrow – perhaps the future heirs of Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR), Ali Al Ahrach (MAR), Abdeslam Bennani Smires (MAR), or El Ghali Boukaa (MAR).
