St. Tropez, France โ September 18, 2025 โ The first CSIO 5* at the Polo Club de Saint-Tropez – Haras de Gassin, host of the 4th leg of the 2025 Longines League of Nations global series, kicked off in style this Thursday. The Netherlands, Luxembourg and France made their mark under bright sunshine.
A true jewel of more than 100 hectares located just a stoneโs throw from the Mediterranean, the venue offers an exceptional setting for both riders and spectators.
The dayโs main class, a 1.55m against the clock presented by Haras de Gassin, qualifying for Fridayโs Grand Prix, saw victory for the Netherlands through Kevin Jochems (NED). Starting second to last, and with a perfectly executed round in 65.50 seconds, the 30-year-old rider and his Prada di Costa M secured the win.

He edged out Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA), who had led since almost the start of the evening. Partnered with his energetic Dinozo Impรฉrio Egipcio, the Brazilian finished in 65.83 seconds.

South America was also in the spotlight as Argentinaโs Josรฉ Maria Larocca (ARG) claimed equal 3rd place with Finn Lente (67.94). He shared this result with Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Delph de Denat*HDC, who stopped the clock at exactly the same time.

โMy mare is incredible. She is always very consistent, week after week. I am delighted to be here in Gassin. The facilities are outstanding. I am looking forward to the upcoming classes!โ said the eveningโs winner.
