Traverse City, United States – September 17, 2025 – he 2025 season reaches its finale with the 55th edition of the $340,000 American Gold Cup CSI 5*, one of show jumping’s most storied titles. For more than five decades, Olympians, world champions and rising stars have added their names to the trophy. Who will be next Sunday?
Fans on-site are invited to visit the new American Gold Cup History Walk, installed along the walk to the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel International Ring. The walk traces the Cup’s journey from Cleveland to Traverse City, honoring past champions and highlighting key moments.

Traverse City Open Rider Award: Season Leader to Be Crowned
Canada’s Erynn Ballard enters the final week with a strong lead over Richard Spooner (USA) and Francisco Goyoaga (ESP). Her consistency throughout the summer has set the pace, and the title will be officially decided this week. The winner will receive a TCHS-branded Urtopia electric bike, presented in partnership with Pedego Traverse City.
On Sunday, additional honors will also be presented, including the M. Michael Meller Style of Riding Award, the The Glen Farm Trophy in Memory of Mason Phelps, and the Riders Boutique + Butet Leading Equitation Rider Award.
