
Calgary, Canada โ September 06, 2025 โ Great Britain won the $441,200 BMO Nationsโ Cup CSIO 5* on Saturday, on British Day, watched by the Duchess of Edinburgh.

A dominant force in todayโs competition, the reigning Olympic team gold medalists were ready for victory with a powerhouse crew under Chef dโEquipe Di Lampard: Matthew Sampson (GBR), Ben Maher (GBR), Joseph Stockdale (GBR) and Donald Whitaker (GBR).

The foursome pulled together a final team score of no penalties after two rounds. This ended a 29-year draught of BMO Nationsโ Cup wins for Great Britain, in front of a packed International Ring crowd.
Eleven teams competed in round one of the competition with Germany, Great Britain, United States of America, Ireland, Belgium and Brazil advancing to round two.

An unfortunate final rail for Richard Vogel (GER) put the German team into second, their final team score of 4 penalty-points after two round and a total first round time 232.56 seconds. The United States also had 4 as a team score but a total first round time of 234.34 seconds.
