Dublin, Ireland โ August 07, 2025 โ On Thursday, August 7, the iconic RDS Main Arena in Dublin delivered another electric afternoon of sport with the โฌ56,800 Cashel Palace Hotel Stakes CSIO 5* (1.60m) โ the second chance for riders to secure their ticket to Sundayโs โฌ500,000 Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland CSIO 5*.
With 47 horse-and-rider combinations on the start list, the course proved both technical and unforgiving. Early rounds saw several faults, including from Swiss rider Martin Fuchs (SUI), who opened the class with a rail down aboard Fortjump du Beaumenil. It wasnโt until Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) and Major Tom entered the ring that the first clear round was finally posted, setting the tone for a thrilling finish.

But it was Irelandโs own Jordan Coyle (IRL), riding Chaccolino, who lit up the arena. After a confident and fast clear in the first round, Coyle returned for the jump-off and delivered a bold, flawless round in 37.19 seconds, enough to secure the win in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

McLain Ward (USA) and Imperial HBF followed with a polished clear in 38.56 seconds, placing them second, while Pessoaโs double clear in 41.18 seconds rounded out the podium.
Coyleโs win not only earned him a spot in the Rolex Grand Prix of Ireland but also confirmed his form as one of the home favourites heading into the weekendโs feature event. The stage is now set for a thrilling finale on Sunday.
