
A Coruña, Spain – July 20, 2025 – The A Coruña CSI 3*, an international show jumping competition held alongside the European Show Jumping Championships, concluded this morning at the Casas Novas Equestrian Center. The final event, the Prosegur Security Trophy, saw a Spanish sweep of the podium, with Álvaro González de Zárate (ESP) and Casa Diva PS claiming victory, followed closely by fellow Spanish riders who took the top three spots in the rankings.
The Prosegur Security Trophy featured jumps set at 1.45 meters in height and was judged under the Speed/Handiness format, where each rail knocked down resulted in a 4-second penalty.
It was an all-Spanish podium, with Álvaro González de Zárate (ESP) securing the top position. The rider from Álava completed his round fault-free in 60.79 seconds, earning his second win of the competition aboard his mare Casa Diva PSand capping off an impressive performance at Casas Novas.
Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP), another Spanish rider and winner of the first CSI 3* event on Friday, claimed second place. Riding Genaro Paulois, he also delivered a clear round in 62.60 seconds, securing another podium finish.
Rounding out the top three was seasoned rider Jesús Garmendia (ESP) from San Sebastián, who came close to victory with Caramel Blue PS. However, a knockdown at the final jump cost him 4 seconds and the win, pushing him to third place in the final standings.
The CSI3* A Coruña concluded with the award ceremony for the top three riders in the €35,000 Prosegur Security Trophy CSI 3*, presented by Fernando Abós, CEO of Prosegur Security.
