
Sariego, Spain โ July 05, 2025 โ The โฌ28,500 Caixabank Trophy was the highest-level class on the second day of the CSI3*ย taking place at Yeguada Finca Maeza. The final round, ridden by Pello Elorduy(ESP), secured victory for the Basque rider by just 0.15 seconds. A spectacular, all-out round secured the winning round in the Caixabank Trophy, for which the top thirteen riders from the first round had qualified. The star of the 1,45m class was Pello Elorduy withย Champenoise de Rampan, who, with an impressive final gallop, managed to beat the time of the previous leader, Armando Trapote (ESP) onย Karl P.
The Montenmedio rider was leading with a time of 35 seconds, but Pello Elorduy and his mare stopped the clock at 34.85 seconds, thrilling the large crowd that gathered on Saturday at Yeguada Finca Maeza.
Out of the twelve combinations that made it to the jump-off, seven produced another clear round. Finishing third, behind Pello and Armando, was รlvaro Gonzรกlez de Zรกrate (ESP) withย Ebane du Mesnil.
A very emotional Pello Elorduy (ESP) collected the winnerโs trophy from Emilio Cuadrado, Caixabankโs Commercial Director for Asturias and Cantabria, who was joined by Christina Bares and รlvaro Arrieta, representing Yeguada Finca Maeza and Oxer Sport, respectively.
