Berlin, Germany – July 01, 2025 – National coach Otto Becker has announced the German squad for the 2025 European Show Jumping Championships in La Coruña, Spain. The championship will take place from July 16 to 20, 2025 at the Casas Novas Equestrian Center in Spain.

The German team starters in alphabetical order are:

• Marcus Ehning (GER) & Coolio
• Sophie Hinners (GER) & Iron Dames My Prins
• Christian Kukuk (GER) & Just be Gentle
• Richard Vogel (GER) & United Touch S

As an individual rider:
Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) & Elysium

The German team for the championship consists of a mix of more experienced and younger riders. For Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Sophie Hinners (GER) it is the first championship in the senior camp. Richard Vogel (GER) was able to represent Germany at the Olympic Games in Paris last year. Christian Kukuk (GER) became individual Olympic champion there with Checker. Marcus Ehning (GER) is the rider in the team with the most championship experience.

Otto Becker has been the national coach of the German show jumping riders since 2009. Most recently he accompanied the German show jumpers to the Olympic Games in Paris and to the European Championships in Milan in Italy in 2023. There the German team took fourth place and Philipp Weishaupt (GER) won the silver medal in the individual competition.
