Calgary, Canada โ June 08, 2025 โ The Irish were on a roll throughout the week during The Continental CSI 5* at Spruce Meadows, and, in a competition where speed is key, there was no besting Irelandโs Darragh Kenny (IRL) and the appropriately named mare, Lightning. In the first Table C speed competition of the summer, the $42,000 Canadian Utilities Cup CSI 5*, where faults are converted to time, the pair left all the fences up and laid out a clear round in a time of 96.29 seconds.
Sliding into second place was Jordan Coyle (IRL) with For Gold, who despite having a rail (indicating four seconds would be added to his running time), produced a final time of 96.50 seconds. Saturdayโs winners Conor Swail (IRL) aboard One Edition, rounded out the top three.
Final Results โ $42,000 Canadian Utilities Cup CSI 5*
1) Darragh Kenny (IRL) & Lightning โ 0 + 96.29 = 96.29
2) Jordan Coyle (IRL) & For Gold โ 4 / 92.50 = 96.50
3) Conor Swail (IRL) & One Edition โ 0 + 97.60 = 97.60
