Calgary, Alberta, Canada – June 06, 2025 – Daniel Coyle of Ireland secured two victories on Friday during The Continental CSI 5*, presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows. After winning the $35,000 The Partners CSI 5* – 1.50m earlier in the day, the Irishman doubled down for another victory, this time in the in €70,000 The Mustangs CSI 5* – 1.55m. Not an easy feat at Spruce Meadows, the Coyle veteran piloted his grey gelding, Incredible, through FEI Course Designer Peter Grant’s (CAN) 1.55m track.

Sixteen horse/rider combinations qualified for the jump-off, but no one could catch Coyle who posted the fastest, clear jump-off round with a time of 38.66 seconds.

“I can’t say enough good things about Spruce Meadows. I’ve learned so much here. My horses have learned so much here, it’s an amazing job what they’re doing. They never stop making the place better. They put the new ring (footing) in last year. I think it’s even better this year. So I’m looking forward to the weekend and we’ve had a great start.” – Daniel Coyle on returning to Spruce Meadows for the season.

Kara Chad (CAN)_ was the highest placed Canadian, finishing in second, edging out her fiancé Matthew Sampson (GBR) – who finished third.
