Tom Wachman Wins the Boss Equestrian Prize CSIO 5* at La Baule

La Baule, France – June 05, 2025 – The 2025 edition of the 2025 Jumping international de La Baule – Officiel de France CSIO 5* began this Thursday. Irish rider Tom Walchman (IRL) triumphed in the €28,200 Boss Equestrian Prize CSIO 5*

At the beginning of the day, 20-year-old young Irish rider Tom Wachman (IRL) proved to be the best in the Boss Equestrian Prize (1.45 m, over two rounds), on Hawaii, a 9-year-old mare. “It’s a brilliant way to start the competition,” he explained. “It will boost my confidence for the next events. My mare is still young but she’s very quick and I’m really satisfied with the result”. 

Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) & Dirka Império Egípcio

Riding Dirka Império Egipcio, a Selle Français mare who was ridden for a long time by Italian Lorenzo de Luca, Brazilian Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) claimed second place.

Daniel Deusser (GER) & Bingo Ste. Hermelle

The Brazilian finished just ahead of German Daniel Deusser (GER) on his experienced Selle Français stallion Bingo Ste Hermelle.
