Henrik von Eckermann & Glamour Girl Ride for the Gold in the Range Rover Grand Prix CSI 4*

Cabour, France โ€“ May 31, 2025 โ€“ Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) brilliantly won the โ‚ฌ28,200 Range Rover Grand Prix CSI 4*, a major event this Saturday at Cabourg Classic CSI 4*. Riding Glamour Girl, one of his best partners, the Swede, world number three, beat the Briton Robert Whitaker and the Luxembourger Odile Gierech, respectively associated with Gentlemen van het Veldhof and Kiss-Me van het BHH.

It is rare to see Henrik von Eckermann competing in Normandy. Since the start of his career, the former world number one had only competed in two competitions there: the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen and the CSI 4* in Saint-Lรด in 2020. For his return to the region, the double world champion chose the Cabourg Classic, organized by GrandPrix Events since 2021, which this year hosted its very first CSI 4*. After a discreet start to the week, the Swede reminded everyone by winning this event at 1.45m, the third amongst the four highlights of the weekend.

“I’m even more happy since my week didn’t start very well. Glamor Girl is incredible, and she proved it again. I’m happy with her state of form before La Baule. That’s why I took her here,” declared the Swedish champion, who preferred not to compete in the CWD Grand Prix in the city of Cabourg to concentrate on his preparations for the CSIO 5* in La Baule and the European championships in La Baule. “This competition is very nice. The organization is impeccable, with excellent stables and perfect grounds, two essential criteria in my eyes. In addition, there are a lot of people and a very pleasant atmosphere, as is often the case in France.”

A jump-off of sixteen couples decided between the best of the day. Nine duos achieved a double flawless performance. Robert Whitaker came close to victory with Gentlemen van het Veldhof, failing by fifteen hundredths of a second. The Luxembourger Odile Gierech, as well as the French Richard Breul and Alexandra Francart completed the top five.
