A 14th Edition Firmly Rooted in World-class Sport
Rabat, Morocco – May 26, 2025 – From September 18 to October 5, 2025, the Morocco Royal Tour will embark on its fourteenth edition, kicking off in Tétouan, then moving on to Rabat and concluding in El Jadida. Three legs, three CSI 4*-W a highly anticipated Nations Cup and three CSI 1*… with the same unwavering ambition: to welcome the very best of international showjumping under optimal sporting and technical conditions.
Now regarded as one of the most esteemed circuits on the global equestrian calendar, the Morocco Royal Tour returns with a rich programme: 27 4* classes, including 13 counting for the Longines FEI World Ranking, three CSI4*-W Grand Prix qualifying for the World Cup, 18 CSI 1* classes, and the CSIO4-W Nations Cup in Rabat*, the highlight on the federal facilities of Rabat.
Who will succeed Saudi Arabia, last year’s Nations Cup winner? The answer will come on 24 September in Rabat’s main arena – which, like El Jadida’s, has been completely resurfaced for this 2025 edition. A renewed technical standard, geared entirely towards performance, is set to once again draw top-tier nations from across the globe.
Competition will be fierce, notably with the expected return of Emanuele Gaudiano (Italy), one of the MRT’s most loyal competitors, who dominated the last two seasons by winning four of the six CSI4* Grand Prix events held in 2023 and 2024, riding his brilliant Nikolaj de Music.
For the world’s elite and amateur riders competing in the CSI1* classes, the Morocco Royal Tour remains a ‘magical interlude’ combining top-level sport, warm hospitality and a deep equestrian heritage.
Concluding in El Jadida as an indoor event at the Horse Show, the tour offers an ideal transition between the outdoor season and the indoor competitions. It is also the venue for the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, remains the crown jewel of the tour, offering €164,000 in prize money, on par with a CSI5* Grand Prix. A spectacular finale in a prestigious setting.
The 2025 Morocco Royal Tour will kick off in Tétouan on 18 September, in the heart of this vibrant Mediterranean city, where an enthusiastic crowd is always guaranteed at the Royal Guard’s prestigious venue.

About the Morocco Royal Tour
Created in 2010 under High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and chaired by Prince Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, President of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Federation, the Morocco Royal Tour has, over the course of fourteen editions, become a benchmark event in international showjumping.
Welcoming each year a stellar roster of Olympic, world, and continental champions – Philippe Rozier (FRA), Simon Delestre (FRA), Jérôme Guery (FRA), Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), Pius Schwizer (SUI), Abdelkebir Ouaddar (MAR), among others – the MRT stands out for the quality of its footing, the excellence of its facilities, and its strong cultural identity.
Sanctioned by the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), the circuit consists of three four-star showjumpings, held in iconic locations across Morocco – balancing modern sporting standards with the country’s rich equestrian traditions.
- Tétouan, 18–21 September, in the stunning grounds of the Royal Guard, featuring monumental grandstands, traditional-style stables, and a solemn, historic atmosphere.
- Rabat, 24-28 September, at the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Federation’s technical venue – now with a new surface – for the CSIO4-W Nations Cup*, the key highlight of this federal leg.
- El Jadida, 2–5 October, held indoors within the Moroccan Horse Show, the largest equestrian fair on the African continent, hosting the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, offering €164,000 in prize money – the level of a CSI5*. This final leg will also benefit from a fully renewed surface.
