Sophie Hinners Gets off to the Perfect Start in the CSI 3* at St. Jakobshalle

Basel, Switzerland – April 04, 2025 – Besides the first competition of the  2025 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final, St. Jakobshalle is also the home of CSI 3* classes throughout the week. Germany gott off to the perfect start, claiming victory in the first major competition of the week there. Sophie Hinners (GER) guided Nuraya 3 to top honors in the €30,000 Thermoplan Prize CSI 3*.

Twenty-four of the thirty-eight combinations which took part in the 1.45m two-phase challenge managed to complete the first section of the course flawlessly. In the end, it was the Hinners and the 11-year-grey German Sport Horse (Nurjev x Bisons Golden Joy) who came out on top, doing so in 34.03 seconds.

She was closely followed by Andreas Schou (DEN) and Billy Matador, who completed phase 2 just seven-hundreths of a second behind, thus earning reserve honors.

Josh Löhden (GER) and EIC Schabernack rounded out the top three, registering no penalties in 34.33 seconds.
