Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – March 21, 2025 – A fantastic Friday fell upon the 2025 Andalucía Sunshine Tour with the running of the €29,000 Andalucía Trophy CSI 4*, won by the Spanish rider, Álvaro González de Zárate (ESP). The Spaniard had a commanding win with the 10-year-old mare, Casa Diva PS, (Casallco) who is owned by Heras Horses and Events and Yeguada Valbanera.

This Longines Ranking 1.50m speed class was held on grass in the main, David Broome arena. The talented pair were the only combination to stop the clock in under 60 seconds, in fact 59 seconds flat. They took the lead later on in the running order, away from the early leader, Portuguese, Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) with the grey mare, Karonia. L (Harley x G-Ramiro Z) who were last Saturday’s winners, but today they finished second in 61.49 seconds. In third was British rider, James Wilson (GBR) with Vuitton of Picobello Z (Vagabond de la Pomme x Contact Ven de Heffinck).
