Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – March 16, 2025 – Italian rider, Emiliano Liberati (ITA) took the top spot in the €105,675 Range Rover C. de Salamanca Grand Prix CSI 4* on Sunday at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour, which is kindly sponsored by the Junta de Andalucía, through the Consejería de Turismo and Andalucía Exterior, and by the Diputación provincial de Cádiz. Emiliano was riding his 10-year-old Italian Sport Horse (MASAF) mare, Aruba Island (Vigo D’Arsouilles STX’ x ‘Carthago’), and held the lead in this competitive ten horse jump off with a time of 43.14 seconds from early on in jump-off of the 1.55m class.

He told us: ”I am very happy and satisfied with how the mare jumped. Aruba Island is a mare that I have developed since she was 4 years old. Today she really jumped well, performing a very fast jump-off, and I have to say I am very satisfied. The next goal will definitely be the Italian Championships. Then we’ll see, depending on how she goes, if we manage to jump at the CSIO Piazza di Siena in Rome this year.”

Irish rider, Seamus Hughes Kennedy (IRL) was a late challenger to the winner with ESI Rocky (Stakkato Gold x For Pleasure). Last to go in the contest, he had a great round and ended up taking second place backed by a clean jump-off round in a time of 43.68 seconds

Spanish rider Carlos Bosch Cebrián and Jolie van der Berghoeve (Jaguar VD Berghoeve x ‘Kannan) finished in third place, registering no penalties in the tiebreaker too, securing bronze honors in 44.60 seconds.
