Doha, Qatar – February 27, 2025 –  With the first points of the season up for grabs, anticipation is at an all-time high as the world’s best riders prepare to deliver breathtaking performances at Al Shaqab. The 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and Global Champions League (GCL) season promise thrilling rivalries, unforgettable moments, and a showcase of equestrian excellence across some of the sport’s most iconic destinations.

Adding to the excitement, the official Doha 2025 list of participants has been unveiled, revealing a stellar lineup poised to battle for early-season supremacy. Among them are eight of the top 10 riders from the 2024 LGCT Championship final standings, including Christian Kukuk (GER), Andreas Schou (DEN), and Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS). Reigning GCL Champions and Doha 2024 winners, Cannes Stars powered by Iron Dames, are ready to defend their title with a formidable trio—Sophie Hinners (GER), Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER), and Sanne Thijssen (NED), all leading their charge.

They will go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in the sport, including Pieter Devos (BEL) and Niels Bruynseels (BEL), Zascha Nygaard Lill (DEN), Philipp Weishaupt (GER), and the formidable Madrid In Motion trio of Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP), Maikel van der Vleuten (NED), and Kim Emmen (NED).

Valkenswaard United boasts the legendary Marcus Ehning (GER), while the Longines Arena is set to witness Denis Lynch (IRL) and Scott Brash (GBR) bring their wealth of experience to the fight for glory.
