
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates โ February 14, 2025 โ The penultimate day of the Emirates Jumping Cup saw four competitive classes, culminating with theโฌ31,200 Longines Grand Prix CSI 2* – 1.45m, which featured 50 riders vying for top honours.
With only seven clears in the first round, it was Belgian rider Constant van Paesschen aboard Ganturano that clinched the Grand Prix in a time of 41.14 seconds, just pipping Irelandโs Shane Breen (IRL) to second place in 41.52 seconds riding BP Arctic Blue. Mohamed Shafi Mohamed Alremeithi (UAE) put in a strong performance with Dowan vd Vosberg Z to finish in third place, just a fraction of a second slower in a time of 42.55 seconds.
The competition concludes this Saturday, starting with the CSICh Cavalor Childrenโs Cup at 09:00 am, followed by the CSIJ Al Forsan International Sports Resort Cup. The much-anticipated CSI05* Longines League of Nationsโข gets underway at 13:30, seeing 11 teamsโthe qualified 10 nations and the UAE teamโbattle for the โฌ700,000 prize and a place in Octoberโs final. Following the LLN, the CSIO5* Al Shiraโaa Challenge wraps an intense four days of world-class competition from 19:00.
For show jumping enthusiasts, last yearโs winning team member, David Will, will be doing a live course walk with English commentary at 12:35, followed by the athletesโ parade with an Arabic twist. Z7 show horses will be back to wow the crowds with a display of equestrian artistry at 16:00, showcasing their latest liberty act.
