
Doha, Qatar – February 13, 2025 – The H.H. The Amir’s Sword CSI 5* is on this week, from February 13-15, at the Longines Indoor and Outdoor Arenas of the Al Shaqab. The festival’s competitions will start at 9am and will continue until 9pm, highlighted by showjumping and dressage competitions. The total prize money for the championship is more than 718,000 euros, which gives the festival an international dimension, especially after the exceptional success achieved by last year’s edition of the festival.
The festival is the fourth championship in the International Equestrian Tours – Qatar 2025 and consists of showjumping and dressage competitions, in addition to a round for Future Riders. The first three championships were the first, second and third Doha Tour rounds, which achieved exceptional success, with the participation of a number of world-class riders, led by British Scott Brash, winner of the CSI 5* Grand Prix title of the Doha Tour.
Festival Categories
The H.H. Amir Sword International Equestrian Festival is a five-star event, and the festival also consists of competitions in other categories. The festival also witnesses the allocation of His Highness the Amir’s Sword for Dressage, which provides a golden opportunity for our riders to shine, especially since our rider Jassim Al-Jeham Al-Kuwari was ranked second in the world in dressage competitions (individual category – St. George’s classification), and
the junior category for the countries of the seventh regional group, in the dressage challenge held under the umbrella of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) recently.
Accompanying Events
The festival includes a special activations area for the public that also has many entertainment facilities and a variety of food and beverages for all categories of the public. It includes a variety of cafes and shops, in addition to organizing many events that suit all age groups from all segments of society. The accompanying events will be held on the outer perimeter of the Longines Arena, where a number of service providers, business owners and the artist community have been contracted to provide an exceptional experience for the public in accordance with distinguished hospitality and Qatari heritage.
- The Longines outdoor arena includes the Fan Zone, which has various children’s play options, a cafe and
shop wing, and a visual artists’ area, in addition to organizing many events that suit all age groups from
all segments of society - The first three tours of the International Equestrian Tours – Qatar 2025 saw a remarkable turnout,
with over 50,000 attendees over the course of three weeks.
Festival Tickets
- The public can purchase tournament tickets through the official ticketing platform Qtickets, where the
price of a general attendance ticket is 50 Qatari Riyals per day for adults, and 25 Qatari Riyals per day for
children aged 7-12 years, while attendance is free for kids. - The ticketing platform also offers hospitality packages, in addition to VIP tickets. Tickets include many
privileges and can be obtained from the Qtickets platform. - Special tables for the riders have also been provided in the riders’ wing area at promotional prices.
Community Participation
- The tournament organizing committee also provided free tickets for school students, and also volunteer
opportunities for more than (80) eighty male and female volunteers. - A number of communities in the country were invited to attend the tournament competitions and enjoy
the exceptional atmosphere of the Doha Tour 2025 rounds. In addition, the School Olympic Program was
invited to attend the tournament competitions. - Members of the Ihsan Center for the Elderly were also invited to attend part of the Doha Tour rounds
competitions, in appreciation of their role and celebration of their status in the Qatari community. - The tour also witnesses the participation of cultural and social clubs, such as the Art and Arabic
Calligraphy Club.
