Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – February 07, 2025 – A time of 68.70 seconds secured a brilliant victory for Swiss rider Alain Jufer (SUI) and his 14-year-old horse Dante, son of Diarado x Luxius, in the Ayuntamiento de Barbate Trophy CSI 4*, the highest class of the day at the Andalucía Sunshine Tour. The event is sponsored by the Junta de Andalucía, through the Consejería of Tourism and Andalucía Exterior, as well as the Provincial Diputacion of Cádiz.

Belgian rider Gilles Thomas (BEL), riding Elfra Van Beek Z (El Salvador x Vagabond de la Pomme), once again placed among the top rankings. After finishing third yesterday, today he secured a well-deserved second place, being the only rider, along with the winner, to break the 70-second barrier in this 1.50 competition held on the main David Broome grass arena and qualifying for the FEI Ranking.

Moroccan rider El Ghali Boukaa (MAR) finished third with A Kyss, a 15-year-old daughter of Diamant de Semilly. Dutch rider Sanne Thijssen (NED) took fourth place with Con Quidam RB (Quinar Z x Cardino 5), while French rider Nicolas Sers (FRA) completed the podium with Eleven de Riverland (Kannan x Diamant de Semilly).

All winners received their trophies from representatives of the Ayuntamiento de Barbate: Mayor Miguel Molina and council members Juan Miguel Muñoz, Paco Ponce, Gema Rivera, Ana Valencia, and Conchi Cla.
