Doha, Qatar– January 25, 2025 – Spaniard Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) claimed the top prize in the €105,500 Doha Tour Grand Prix CSI 3* as he rode the bay gelding Belano Vd Wijnhoeve Z in a superb flawless jump-off round in 44.19 seconds.
He was followed by German Janne F. Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) on Messi Van ‘T Ruytershof, also a bay gelding, and the combine clocked 45.09 seconds.
South African Oliver Lazarus (RSA) on bay mare Butterfly Ennemmel ended up third with a time of 45.88 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Fahad Al Thani (QAT), representing Doha Bank, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Noah Al Thani, member of the tournament’s organizing committee and Secretary General of the Qatar Equestrian Federation.
