
Doha, Qatar โ January 23, 2025 โ Under the slogan โWhere Nobility Meets Historyโ, the three-day 3 rd round of the 2025 Doha International Equestrian Tour kicked off on Thursday evening at the glorious Longines Arena of Al Shaqab (Member, Qatar Foundation) with more than 400 participants and a total prize pool of more than 1.7 million euros for the event.
The opening day of the Tour third round saw competitions in the CSI1*, three-star and five-star categories in 6 rounds, in addition to the Future Ridersโ class of 60cm.
Thursday’s feature CSI3* class was the Grand Prix Qualifier, the โฌ28,600 Doha Tour Speed Challenge CSI 3* that saw stiff competition. The South African Oliver Lazarus (RSA) was declared the winner on bay mare Butterfly Ennemmel by claiming first place with a best penalty-free round due to their time of 65.83 seconds.
He was followed by Spaniard Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) on bay gelding Belano Vd Wijnhoeve Z in the second place with a time of 65.88 seconds.
Qatarโs Khalid Mohammed Al Emadi (QAT) claimed the third spot on the podium after crossing the timers in 66.47 seconds on the darkbay mare Chikita O.

The winners were crowned by Mr. Salem Abdullah Al Nabit, Head of Legal Affairs at Al Kass Sports.
