Doha, Qatar – January 23, 2025 – Under the slogan “Where Nobility Meets History”, the three-day 3 rd round of the 2025 Doha International Equestrian Tour kicked off on Thursday evening at the glorious Longines Arena of Al Shaqab (Member, Qatar Foundation) with more than 400 participants and a total prize pool of more than 1.7 million euros for the event.
The opening day of the Tour third round saw competitions in the CSI1*, three-star and five-star categories in 6 rounds, in addition to the Future Riders’ class of 60cm.
The €29,000 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 5* – 1.45m class was claimed by the in-form Italian Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), who combined with chestnut gelding Chalou and grey gelding Chalou’s Love PS, respectively to claim the first and third podium places . Gaudiano returned the best time of 29.62 seconds with Chalou, and later rode Chalou’s Love PS to clock and 29.86 seconds.
Saudi rider Abdullah Al Sharbatly (KSA) on bay stallion Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior was the runner-up finishing the routine in 29.73 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Mr. Khalid Issa Al Hammadi, Senior Vice-President Operations at Qatar Airways.
