Doha, Qatar – January 11, 2025 – The first of three weeks at the 2025 Doha International Equestrian Tour concluded at the glorious Longines Outdoor and Indoor Arenas of the Al Shaqab (Member, Qatar Foundation) on Saturday with 6 different rounds of one-star, two-star and four-star categories, in addition to a Future Riders’ class.
The first week featured the participation of more than 330 local and international riders, with the event carrying a total prize-money of more than 690 thousand euros.
Austrian Gerfried Puck (AUT) won a thrilling jump-off of the Grand Prix of Doha CSI 4*-W – 1.55m class under lights to be crowned as the champion on the final day of the three-day first week of the 2025 Doha International Equestrian Tour 2025. Puck was awarded the top prize of 41,175 euros after guiding the chestnut stallion Equitron Naxcel V regaling the audience o with a flawless round in 37 seconds.
The contest was very close since Puck beat the time of Abdel Said (BEL) , who on chestnut mare Arpege du Ru, clocked 37.1 seconds!
Great Britain’s Ellen Whitaker (GBR) rode the bay mare Korlenski towards third place in 37.16 seconds.
The Grand Prix champions were crowned by Mr. Ahmed Jaber Al-Mulla and Mr. Hamza Al-Kuwari, members of the Tour’s organizing committee.
