
Stuttgart, Germany – November 16, 2024 – Pieter Devos (BEL) and Jarina J jumped their way to victory in the iWest Prize CSI 5*-W on Saturday at the 2024 Stuttgart German Masters, claiming the lion’s share of the €62,000 purse offered to the 12 highest-placed combinations in the 1.55m jump-off challenge.
The Belgian and the 10-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood mare (Cicero Z van Paemel x Harley) overcame eight other combinations in the tiebreaker, delivering an impecable round in 40.84 seconds for the victory.
Harrie Smolders (NED) and Kaspar matched the clean scorecard of the winners, falling just short due to their final time of 42.31 seconds, a mark that would still earn them silver honors.
Belgian had two riders amongst the top three, the second one being Wilm Vermeir (BEL) on Top Invest 313 Z, the only other pair to register two penalty-free performances, rounding out the top three in 45.16 seconds.
