Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – November 16, 2024 – Ellen Whitaker (GBR) was back in the winner’s circle at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour on Saturday, teaming up with Korlenski for first place in the €30,300 CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas Trophy CSI 3*.
The 1.50m challenge was contested by 60 combinations in the first round with 13 of them advancing to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was Whitaker (GBR) and 2015 bay Dutch Warmblood mare (Cornet Obolensky) who came out on top, doing so in 37.64 seconds.
Millie Allen (GBR) and Clearround Il Mondo Z were just over three-tenths of a second behind the winners, securing second place in 37.97 seconds.
The third place on the podium was conquered by a rising star from the United States. Zayna Rizvi (USA) guided Exquise du Pachis in flawless fashion too, conquering third place in 38.31 seconds.
