Barcelona – October 03, 2024 – The 112th edition of CSIO Barcelona is officially underway. Spain’s oldest international sporting event is bringing together the world’s top riders at the Olympic arena of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona until Sunday. The grand finale of this international equestrian celebration will be the final of the new Longines League of Nations on Sunday afternoon.

The highlight of the day was the Porsche Cup, a 1.50 m class, won by Canadian rider Kara Chad (CAN) and Igor GPH. Swiss rider Pius Schwizer (SUI), on Nadale Van Dorperheide, finished second, with German rider Jorne Sprehe (GER) and Toys taking third.

This Friday, it will be the turn of the Ciutat de Barcelona Grand Prix, a 1.60-meter event, featuring the participation of world-class athletes: Germany’s Christian Kukuk, individual gold medalist at the Paris Olympics, and Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, the world number one.
