Ascona, Switzerland – September 15, 2024 – Robert Whitaker (GBR) had great performances at the 2024 edition of the CSI Ascona. After finishing second with Vermento in the €55,500 Kataltherm Service Prize CSI 4*, Whitaker and the 11-year-old black stallion climbed one step higher on the podium. The dynamic duo claimed victory in the feature class of the week at the event, the €97,588 Grand Prix of Ascona CSI 4* presented by Bancastato – Bellinzona | In Memoriam Manuela Bacchi, doing so in 38.41 seconds.

The only other combination to register two penalty-free performances in the 1.55m jump-off challenge were Fernando Martinez Sommer (MEX) and Lady van de Haarterhoeve, conquering silver honors.

Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) and In Time registered the fastest time amongst the 6 jump-off participants but their time of 37.77 came at the expense of one pole down, meaning that they would have to settle for third place.
