
Del Mar, California, USA โ August 10, 2024 โ Lane Clarke (AUS) and Venom claimed the top spot in the $100,000 Douglas Elliman Grand Prix last Saturday during the Endless Summer Jumping Tour at Hits Del Mar. A competitive field of 27 horse-and-rider combinations lined up for the first round of the week’s main class but only six of them managed to advance to the tiebreaker.

The Aussie was supreme by duplicating his flawless first-round performance, completing the jump-off in 40.841 seconds for the victory.

Michelle Parker (USA) had qualified two mounts for the decisive round, riding Vivalunaika and Knass B. Despite being denied the win, the American was very successful, conquering silver honors with Vivalunaika in 40.841 seconds.

Moreover, Parker also powered towards third place aboard Knass B, doing so in 41.349 seconds.

Venom’s groom, Allen Clarke, was recognized with the $500 Grooms Award.
