
Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – August 10, 2024 – Spain’s Pilar Lucrecia Cordon (ESP) was the fastest in the Speed Challenge CSI 2* just like the previous day. Out of 36 combinations, 21 managed to stay clear. The 51-year-old rider who is based in Wolvertem, Belgium with her horses was the fastest of them. Her fluid and fast round with the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare Noblesse du Palis (Baltic VDL x Indorado) yielded a time of 59. 51 seconds.
In doing so, she relegated top Italian rider Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) to the runner-up spot. The Italian, who is based in England, rode 11-year-old Dirka de Blondel ( Very Berlin de Castel x Lauterbach) in this competition, with whom he already has won many classes. De Luca finished in a time of 59.65 seconds.
Third place was claimed Belgium’s Rik Hemeryck who crossed the finish line in 61.30 seconds with Caristello JPZ (Clintissimo Z x Popcorn).
