With 32.00 seconds on the timers, Biraben continued his winning ways to earn third with Vasco 109, (Vigo D Arsouilles Stx x Oboe Incipit), the 2015 Bavarian Warmblood gelding owned in partnership with Miguel Madero.
“This was a nice course. My horses are jumping really well,” Biraben noted upon his win.
The Argentinian rider was sure to acknowledge formidable competitor Samuel Parot, who took the second and fourth spots in the Welcome Stake. “Samuel is always a very fast rider, but this morning was for me!”
Biraben saw success in Tryon Stadium with equine partners both old and new. Chacco Bumpy and Vasco 109 are owned by Biraben in partnership with Miguel Madero. “Vasco is a new one [for me],” Biraben detailed. “He’s nine years old, and this is his first 3* with me.”
