
Casas Novas, Spain – July 13, 2024 – Saturday afternoon in Casas Novas once again left a “great taste in the mouths of spectors” with incredible performances by top riders and horsewomen of the moment, many surprises and an unbeatable atmosphere.
The stands were filled on this sunny Saturday afternoon for the big test of the day, the €56,800 Longines CSI4* Trophy.

The 1.50m-high test, in which 12 riders qualified for the winning round, ended with the victory of the Spanish Mariano Martínez Bastida (ESP), after a brilliant performance that made the public cheer on until the last moment. The Murcian completed the impressive course in 35.61 seconds with “Belano vd Wijnhoeve Z“.
With this time, Mariano Martínez surpassed the second placed, the Belgian Constant Van Paesschen (BEL), who maintained the lead until the round by the Murcian,thanks to the 37.07 seconds achieved with his mare Kannavara Z.
After the second place obtained in the Caixabank Trophy CSI 4* on Friday, the Portuguese rider Rodrigo Gesteira (POR) once again secured the podium, stopping the clock at 37.39 seconds with his mare Karonia. L.
