Casas Novas, Spain – July 13, 2024 – Major FEI-level showjumping began on Saturday at Casas Novas CSI 4* with the running of the €28,200 Marqués de Riscal Trophy CSI 4*, a 1.45m high test that had the participation of around twenty riders and riders. The first victory of the day in the CSI4* made the Spanish anthem sound again in Casas Novas after the victory, in 65.04 seconds, of Álvaro González de Zarate Fernández (ESP) with Casa Diva PS.

A very close victory for the Alava rider since the second best classified, the Frenchman Julien Anquetin (FRA), set a time of 65.17 seconds riding Flamby des Forets, followed by another Spaniard, Ismael García Roque (ESP), who together with Brazilia DK Z, achieved the third best time of the course, stopping the stopwatch at 65.83 seconds.
