Arezzo, Italy – March 29, 2024 – Major FEI competition got off to a great start during the first week of the Toscana Tour II on Friday at Arezzo Equestrian Centre and it was the Brazilian national anthem which was heard across the showgrounds as Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) guided Zy Zento towards victory in the €28,900 Gold Tour Speed Challenge CSI 3*.

Going up against 74 other pairs in the 1.45m speed class, the Brazilian was supreme aboard the 2014 black NRPS gelding (Zento x Indoctro), blazing past the field backed by a foot-perfect run in 66.37 seconds.

Bryan Balsiger (SUI) and Ermindo W were the closest rivals to the eventual winners, finishing second in 69.06 seconds, almost two seconds and a half slower than them.

Mathias Nørheden Johansen (DEN) completed the top three with Ippolito, registering no penalties in 69.36 seconds.

1) Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) & Zy Zento – 0 – 66.37

2) Bryan Balsiger (SUI) & Ermindo W – 0 – 69.06
