Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 21, 2024 – A Spaniard prevails on home soil. The Spanish anthem was played at the David Broome Arena after Álvaro González de Zarate with Casa Diva PS conquered first place in the €10,100 Big Tour Speed Challenge CSI 4* on Thursday during the seventh week of the 2024 Andalucía Sunshine Tour.

Álvaro González and the 9-year-old bay mare registered the fastest clean performance in the 1.50m challenge, moreover they were the only duo to complete the course under 60 seconds.

Michael Pender (IRL) was second with HHS Fortune, the difference being their final time of 61.29 seconds.

Another top Spanish rider claimed third place as Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP) guided Made In’t Ruytershof in flawless fashion too, rounding out the top three in 61.64 seconds.

1) Álvaro González de Zarate (ESP) & Casa Diva PS – 0 – 59.97

2) Michael Pender (IRL) & HHS Fortune – 0 – 61.29

3) Eduardo Álvarez Aznar (ESP) & Made In’t Ruytershof – 0 – 61.64
