Last week there were 14 horses shown during the presentation including one late but very special addition; VDL Cagaro. VDL Cagaro is a son of Stolzenberg the sire of horses like Hello Shelby from Scott Brash (GBR) and Salt‘n Pepper from Jodie Hall-McAteer (GBR). His pedigree is impressive but his results even more so. As just an 8 year old he has already competed at 1.55m level and in multiple international Grand Prix’s. Together with Hessel Hoekstra, he collected numerous results like 3rd in the CSI 3* 1.50m in Leeuwaarden, 3rd in the 1.45m ranking classes in both Lichtenvoorde and Valencia.
VDL Cagaro was number 5 of all 8-year-old horses worldwide showing at International level in the Hippomundo Ranking in November.

The auction has proven to be very popular due to the incredible results over many years. With the list of graduates expanding and ranging from hunter, equitation, amateur horses, Grand Prix jumpers and World Cup winners! The horses have been through a thorough selection and have be chosen due to their appeal to the various American markets.
Previous buyers about their purchase in the WEF Sport Horse Auction:
“Kyaklahoma VDL is the most wonderful mare I have ever ridden. She has endless trust, confidence, and willingness to jump anything you put in front of her. She stepped me up to my first 1.20m jumpers with very good results every time we went in the ring.” – Camille Ducap-Harnois, VDL Kyaklahoma.
“Both of our VDL horses have the scope, elasticity, and ride ability to succeed at the top levels of our sport. We could not be more proud to have representatives from the VDL Stud on our team.” – Liz Phillips, Owner, VDL Imar & VDL Ibiza.
“Not the biggest horse in the world, but for sure has the biggest heart. He has jumped multiple Nations Cups clear with me and several World Cup wins.” – Daniel Coyle (IRL) VDL Farrel
With reviews like this we are proud to offer yet another group of horses ready to grow into their future sporting careers.
