
Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – February 18, 2024 – The third week of the XXX Andalucía Sunshine Tour is off to a flying start and the Barceló Big Tour Speed Challenge CSI 4* was our biggest class on Thursday. Featuring obstacles set at 1.50 meters in the main David Broome arena, this speed challenge was contested by 94 entries and competition was fierce from the very start of the class.
In the end, the winner was Pénélope Leprévost (FRA), top French rider with her super 11-year-old bay stallion, Djagger Semilly (Diamant de Semilly’ x Apache d’Adriers), clearing all the fences flawlessly before stopping the timers in 58.20 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Spanish rider, Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) with Quark de Preuilly Z while the third spot on the podium was conquered Gilles Thomas (BEL) aboard Constantin 110.
