Daniel Coyle’s Incredible Performance Tops the $24,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome

Ocala, Florida, USA – February 03, 2024 – Jumping athletes got a change of scenery during Week VI of the 2024 Winter Spectacular Show Series with top-level competition held in the WEC Stadium. An elite field of horse-and-rider combinations vied for the top prize in the $24,000 C. Jarvis Insurance Welcome Prix over a welcoming track built by FEI Level III course designer Joey Rycroft (CAN). Daniel Coyle (IRL) proved his talents once again, finishing first with his brand-new partner Incredible owned by Ariel Grange.

Horses enjoyed the change in atmosphere this afternoon as a total of 14 combinations managed to jump their way to the tie-breaking round.

Daniel Coyle (IRL) & Incredible

Fresh from securing two European World Cup™ victories and a double triumph in the $100,000 Wheels Up Grand Prix last week, Daniel Coyle continued his winning ways. Riding Incredible, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Clinton x Unbelievable), Coyle blazed through the track with unmatched speed, stopping the clock in 41.264 seconds for the win.

Yesterday was the first day Coyle competed the skilled gelding, “I jumped my first round on him yesterday, it was just a schooling round at 1.30m. I took it a little more serious in this class to see what he’s got in the tank, but after today, I am very excited.”

Coyle and owner Ariel Grange stumbled upon Incredible during their trip to Europe in December, “When we were looking for horses in Europe, Jeroen Dubbeldam mentioned that he knew of a horse that might suite Ariel and I. When we went to look at him, immediately there was something we both liked about him. I said to Ariel, ‘you might want to buy this one’ and she said, ‘alright, I will.’ So far, it’s been a pretty great decision,” laughed Coyle.

Looking ahead, Coyle expressed excitement about continuing his partnership with Incredible. “The plan is to get to know him as quickly as possible. We hope to do the grand prix on Sunday, then jump next week in the CSI3*. The big goal is to compete at Live Oak in the World Cup™ qualifier.”

Will Simpson (USA) & Quentin VA

Will Simpson (USA) closely followed Coyle’s success, riding High Rise Holdings LLC’s 11-year-old Holsteiner gelding Quentin VA (Quarz x Trixie) to a time of 41.942 seconds for second place.

Samantha Schaefer (USA) & Frasier

Samantha Schaefer (USA) and Frasier (Carambole x Padinus), a 14-year-old KPWN gelding owned by Bonne Vie LLC, secured the third place spot on the leaderboard with a quick time of 42.438 seconds in the jump-off.
