Julien Epaillard & Hoover Prove to Be Too Fast at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3*

Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain โ€“January 19, 2024ย โ€“ Lights on, the Master of Faster, the Flying Frenchman Julien Epaillard (FRA) is back to his winning ways at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour. The Frenchman and Hoover flew to first place in the โ‚ฌ29,200 Rent a Car Dรฉnia Trophy CSI 3* on Friday at Centro Ecuestre Oliva Nova.

The 1.45 speed challenge was contested by 86 combinations and 31 of them managed to leave all the poles up and complete the course within the time allowed of 72 seconds. Epaillard and the 2012 grey Royal Dutch Sport Horse / Dutch Warmblood mare (Clinton x Carthago) earned the win in 59.86 seconds.

Their speed proved to be too much for all the other combinations. France claimed the two top spots on the podium as Olivier Perreau (FRA) guided GL Events Dolce Deceuninck across the finish line in 61.70 seconds while Jorne Sprehe (GER) and Sprehe Hot Easyโ€‚rounded out the top three in 62.91 seconds.
