Fort Worth, Texas, USA โ December 13, 2023 โ Closing out the 2023 calendar year with its biggest event of the season, the Lugano Diamonds Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) once again welcomed athletes and spectators to Fort Worth, Texas, for the third year of the Split Rock Fort Worth CSI4*-W. Darragh Kenny (IRL) and California Pie got off to the perfect start competing at the Will Rogers Coliseum, topping the $40,000 October Hill Farm Sport Horses Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*-W on Wednesday.
Twenty-seven combinations entered the ring to face the 1.45m course designed by Anderson Lima (BRA) but only seven of them managed to be clean all the way to the wire. Leading the pack, it was Kenny and the 11-year-old grey Westphalian gelding (Captain Cooper x Ramiro’s Son), doing so after completing the second phase in flawless fashion while being timed in 30.71 seconds.

The Irishman denied Nico Gamboa (COL) came very close to writing the fairytale ending by winning the class sponsored by his sponsor and owners of his mount NKH Vittorio S, finishing second in 32.24 seconds.

Jessica Mendoza (GBR) and I-Cap CL Z completed the podium, registering no penalties in 32.78 seconds at the end of phase two.
