
Stockholm, Sweden โ December 03, 2023 โ The โฌ907,400 H&M Grand Prix CSI 4* at the Sweden International Horse Show CSI 4* is the most challenging jumping class of the show. The audience cheered on the riders in Friends Arena and were thrilled to see two Swedes in the top three places on the prize podium on Sunday. Petronella Andersson (SWE) was first and Peder Fredricson (SWE) third, while Harrie Smolders (NED) of the Netherlands ended up in second place.
Sundayโs Grand Prix was the jumping-highlight of Sweden International Horse Show CSI 4*. Six of the seventeen riders made it through to the jump-off where only three riders achieved double-clears as they took on the course in Friends Arena. Swedenโs own Petronella Andersson (SWE) and Odina van Klapscheut was fastest of them all, snatching the victory just ahead of Harrie Smolders (NED) and Deesse de Kerglenn from the Netherlands. Swedish rider Peder Fredricson (SWE) grabbed third place with Hansson WL.
“The crowd is absolutely amazing”, says Petronella Andersson who really enjoyed entering the prize podium in Friends Arena. “As Swedish on home soil itโs a great feeling to step up there”
She praises her fast mare Odina van Klapscheut, who had a tremendous performance in her very first competition at this level. “This was her first 4* Grand Prix. I know that sheโs quick by herself so I just had to follow the plan”, said Petronella .
