Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – October 20, 2023 – One of the winngest riders the past two years and currently the w number two ranked in the world, Julien paillard (FRA) was a man on mission on Friday at the Mediterranean Equestrian, guiding Cancun Torel Z to victory in the €26,700 Dammann Reitplatz- u. Sportplatzbau Trophy CSI 3*.
The “Flying Frenchman” and the 2011 black Zangersheide mare (Cosinhus x Grannus) triumphed in the 1.45m challenge against the clock, clearing all the obstacles before leaving the rest of the competition in the dust by crossing the finish line in 62.75 seconds.
Derin Demirsoy (TUR) and Elzas put on a valiant effort but the sheer peer of the eventual winners couldn’t me matched as they finished in second place, a full three seconds behind. Ben Maher (GBR) and Ginger Blue settled for third place, registering no penalties in 66..71 seconds.
