
Grimaud, France – October 05, 2023 – The 2023 edition of the Equestrian Cup got underway on Thursday at the and it was Jessica Springsteen (USA) and Naomi van het Keizershof who jumped their way to victory in the first major class of the week, the €27,200 Grand Prix TV Two-Phase Special Challenge CSI 3*.
Springsteen`s victory aboard the 2013 grey Belgian Warmblood mare (Cardento x For Pleasure) was enhanced by the fact that the American faced 64 other combinations in the 1.45m challenge, overcoming them in flawless fashion in 37.48 seconds.
The next highest placed contestant was just two-tenths of a second off the winning mark as Alexandre Fontanelle (FRA) guided Ello Arthur (Con Air x Quick Star) across the finish line in 38.01 seconds.
Nicolas Layec (FRA) and Best of Iscla (Diamant Semilly x Kannan) completed the top three with a final time of 38.33 seconds.
