Manchester, Vermont, USA – August 11, 2023 – Gathering around the Grand Prix Ring at HITS Vermont on Friday afternoon, crowds eagerly anticipated a riveting display of skill as riders vied for victory in the $25,000 Hits Grand Prix. Amidst an exceptionally competitive field, it was Willie Tynan (IRL) and Ballinteskin Joe, an entrant of the MDM Equestrian Group, who once again ascended to claim the coveted top prize. Putting it all out on the field, Tynan and “Max” flew to a finish of 39.166 seconds.
Willie Tynan (IRL) showcased his prowess once again by guiding MDM Equestrian Groups’ Fenise to a commendable second place in a time of 40.587 seconds. David Jennings (USA) and Follow Me, owned by The Follow Me Group, solidified their standing in the top three, finishing with a time of 40.650 seconds.
Reflecting on his time in Vermont, Tynan commented, “So far so good. We’ve all been jumping great, so it’s nice to get the win again. I didn’t think I would catch David – he was quick. But then, when the little chestnut, Max, got him, I thought, ‘Okay, Max is good now.’ David didn’t leave much on the table, so I knew if I caught him, he probably wasn’t going to catch me on his other horse. They’ve all been good. It’s been a good trip here.”
