Saugerties, New York – August 03, 2023 – Two for two! Laura Chapot (USA) and Diarado’s Flying Dutchman secured another win in Thursday’s $38,700 SummitMax Welcome CSI 3* following their victory in Wednesday’s $10,000 FEI Jumper Classic.
Chapot and Diarado’s Flying Dutchman flew around the Douglas Elliman GP Stadium, having two successful fault-free rounds to top a 15-horse jump-off. The third-to-last to go in the second round, the duo laid it all on the line as they tackled the course, their efforts paying off once they finished well before the 55-second time frame in 29.33 seconds.
Megan McDermott (USA) and Nintendo slipped into second place behind Chapot, completing their round in 29.63 seconds, just .3 seconds shy of Chapot’s.
Philip McGuane (IRL) and Paso Doble SCF had the advantage of going fourth in the jump-off line-up, and their round of 31.69 seconds would eventually be good enough to hold up for third place.
