
Giampiero Garofalo Becomes Scuderia 1918 Racing Team Member
Rome, Italy – July 25, 2023 – Two are the promising new horses owned by Scuderia 1918 join the Giampiero Garofalo (ITA) team: Grand Prix (m. S.F. 2016 – Vagabond de la Pomme x Ceasar van de Helle) and Scuderia 1918 Feel Good Chance (g. S.F. 2015 – Cazador LS* La Silla x Quick Star).
These two horses, respectively seven and eight years old, were previously under the saddle of the champion Kevin Staut (FRA), who, in agreement with the team, has decided to send them to Giampiero Garofalo’s yard for training and for giving them time to mature.
The collaboration and the team spirit of the Scuderia 1918 riders, to ensure each horse has the best chance to mature and reach his best potential, it’s one of the principals that Scuderia 1918 bases its programme and beliefs.
Giampiero Garofalo, 28 years old, is part of the Italian Air Force sports team.
He won the Senior Italian Championships this year, as well as the “All Army” Italian Championships; he won both titles last April in Cervia, with Max van Lentz Schrans.
With Joriska (pictured) he won the teams 1.45 class during the Italian Championship Tour in Piazza di Siena 2023, where he competed as part of Scuderia 1918 team.
Giampiero was part of the Young Riders Academy in 2017.
Nowadays he is based in Belgium, in Lommel, where he runs Morssinkhof Stables, with his girlfriend Lisa Nooren (NED).
