Peelbergen, The Netherlands – July 20, 2023 – A Dutch victory on home soil! Henk Frederiks (NED) and Habab flew the highest and were the fastest to win the €26,650 MyShowAdvisor Prize CSI 2* on Thursday at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre.
Fifty-seven combinations took part in the first round of the 1.45m challenge and 18 of them managed to advance to the tiebreaker. In the end, it was the Dutchman who bested two Brazilians to claim the highest position on the podium. Frederiks flew to first aboard the 2012 chestnut Dutch Warmblood mare (Nabab de Reve x Lancelot) by registering the second fault-free performance in 34.75 seconds.
Two fellow Brazilians conquered the other two top spots amongst the top three. Stephan de Freitas Barcha (BRA) on Chevaux Hex Lup Imperio Egipcio and Ricardo Corrêa Reinert (BRA) on Cassilano Jmen (Calisco Jmen x Bramo) battled it out and the first pair earned reserve honors, crossing the finish line just over a second faster than the latter tow, crossing the finish line in 35.27 compared to 36.33 seconds.
