
Spruce Meadows, Calgary, Alberta, Canada – July 02, 2023 – The $40,000 Friends of the Meadows CSI 5* (1.50m) competition was the final 5* event of the ‘Pan American’, presented by Rolex. Twenty-seven competitors took on the jump off competition over the track designed by FEI Course Designer Anthony d’Ambrosio (USA). Competitors had to jump a clear first round in order to qualify for the jump off.
Six combinations passed all the first round tests, but in the end, it was Ireland’s Conor Swail (IRL) riding Count Me In who posted the fastest clean round in the jump-off. Swail posted a clear round in a time of 34.10 seconds to take the victory.
Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) and Otto BH were not too far behind, finishing second only due to their final time of 34.46 seconds.
Despite being a newcomer to the venue this season, Santiago Lambre (BRA) continued to post consistent results, this time riding J’Adore van het Klinkhof towards bronze honors in 36.20 seconds.
