
Riesenbeck, Germany – April 30, 2023 – A Dutch victory on German soil! Going up against a long list of great German riders, Harrie Wiering (NED) and Harley rode to victory in the €27,000 Grand Prix of Riesenbeck CSI 2* on Sunday at the Riesenbeck International equestrian venue.
Teaming up with the 2012 Royal Dutch Sport Horse gelding (Carrera x Frontal) against 11 other combinations out of the original 34 pairs entered for the 1.45m challenge, Harrie and Harley flew the highest in the jump-off, clearing all the obstacles before registering the fastest time of 37.35 seconds for the win.
The Netherlands got the best of the host nation but Germany did manage to secure two of the top three positions on the podium, backed by flawless flights and fast rounds. Philipp Rüping (GER) and Chantolinue PS (Diablo Blanco x Stakkatol) secured the silver in 40.06 seconds while Michael Symmangk (GER) and Caillaux (Cornado I x Landcapitol) rounded out the top three in 41.31 seconds.
